Select Grade: Soft Maple includes quite a few Maple species, and is found in the Eastern United States, except for bigleaf Maple which comes from eh Pacific Coast. The heartwood and sapwood are similar to Hard Maple. The heartwood is somewhat lighter in color and the sapwood somewhat wider. It resembles Hard Maple, but is not as heavy, strong and hard. It is used for furniture, flooring, veneer, wooden ware, and more.
Country Grade: For an antique country look character grade, with a variety of knots and defects, can be enhanced even more by skip planning and distressing the wood on site. Undesirable defects can also be removed on the job site. |
